We are home with Amos, Daisy, Lee and Violet! Meanwhile we have jumped in again for one last very special girl. If you would like to help with that, you can make a non-tax-deductible donation HERE that we can access immediately. You can also make a tax-deductible donation HERE that we can use once we receive travel dates. Or by donating HERE you can help provide her and other children at her orphanage the care and nutrition they desperately need. See all of our current fundraisers HERE. We are thankful for any support you can offer!

August's Aging Out Recap! Let's Celebrate!

Here is our aging out recap for August. We are getting some good news! Kids are finding families! Thank you so much to everyone who has been helping these kids find families. We need more people to share kids! You never know who will see a post and be touched by it. It really does make a difference. There are still children in danger of aging out. Please share them!

I've been posting regularly about how badly I wanted Ashley to find a family. I was really excited to find that a family had met her before! They even told me that she wanted to be adopted! I was so happy to hear that but I was also worried. Time was not on her side. We've been creeping closer to her birthday.

Well, guess who has a family coming! Ashley! And guess who that family is! Yep, it's the same family who met her before. Go read about it! The family is traveling very soon. I'd love to see them get a little love in their FSP HERE, and I'm sure they'd appreciate prayers for a smooth path for the rest of their process.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the day after I posted this an agency posted that Toni's family has fallen through. She DOES need a family still. She is eligible for the $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses AND her orphanage donation can be waived to save $5500 on her adoption expenses. She turns 14 on October 20th so there is not much time. There are more photos and videos HERE. Again, even though it says she has a family in process, she no longer does.

I've also heard that Toni has a family in process! I was so excited to hear that as well. It is not listed on Reece's Rainbow right now, but I have been told she does have a family coming.

Now for another announcement. This one had me falling out of my seat I was so excited. Denzel has a family coming for him! YES! Denzel would be aging out in January, and he is also in a bedridden ward where his condition has been worsening. His need was so desperate and so urgent. Now he has a family coming! And not only that, they are going to adopt Phoenix as well. Phoenix is also an older boy in the same bedridden ward. I have cried and prayed and pleaded for these boys. To know that they will have a loving family and a future makes me so, so happy. I am thrilled!

They are an amazing family and these boys are going to do so well with them. They are anonymous for now. They only need about $10,000 to be fully funded. So many people read about Denzel and shared his need. Now that he has a family, please help them bring him home by sharing their funding page HERE.

Here is the status for the other children we have posted recently. Please share these kids so that we can try to find their families in time! I would love to have a lot more names to post celebrating that they have families on the way! Thank you all for helping make this happen! You can read all of our aging out posts HERE. For information on adopting any of these children, please email childinquiry@reecesrainbow.org .

Tara will turn 14 very soon, and a family could not complete her adoption within the remaining timeframe. She has sadly aged out before a family was found. It's a sobering reminder that it isn't enough for a child to just be listed. Tara was listed for a long time with a very large grant, but she never found her family.
___

Saul still needs a family to complete his adoption before he turns 14 in December. In addition to the $10,000 older child grant he is eligible for other agency grants and reduced fees to help him be adopted in time.

 ___

Barry still needs a family to complete his adoption before he turns 14 in December. Barry has cerebral palsy. He could make so much progress on physical therapy in a family! He is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Winnie still needs a family to complete her adoption before she turns 14 on December 27th. I've mentioned before that she has really touched me. I am hoping she is one of the next kids to find a family! There are extra photos and videos of her HERE. She is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

It is now too late for a family to mail in paperwork to adopt Elsbeth, BUT a family who sent in those papers ahead of time would still be eligible to adopt her. If you are adopting from her country and have a qualifying immigration receipt date, please consider adopting Elsbeth. She also qualifies for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Galan needs a family to complete his adoption before he turns 14 in January. His needs have been surgically corrected and now he is just waiting for a family. He is also eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Michael needs a family to start immediately to be able to complete their adoption according to the timeline in his country. His chances get slimmer the longer he waits. His deadline seems like it is a long ways off, but it is actually NOW. He is eligible for a $10,000 older grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Dani needs her adoption completed before she turns 14 in February. She is another child who I am really hoping finds her family! She is currently kept out of school because she has epilepsy. She has so much potential, and it breaks my heart to see it wasted like this. Please help me find her family! She is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Nelson needs a family to mail in immigration paperwork and fees before he turns 16 in October. He is a quiet boy who likes math and computer science. A family would give him access to a higher quality of education in those subjects. He is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

 ___

Duane needs a family to mail in immigration paperwork and fees before he turns 16 in November. I posted a more thorough update about Duane HERE after speaking privately with someone who has spent time with him. Duane is going to need a very special family, and he also has a very urgent need to be adopted. We need to work extra hard to help find Duane's family! Duane has a $12,466 grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Aurora needs a family to complete her adoption before she turns 14 in May 2017. She is a really precious girl who loves to help the younger children and be praised for the things she does. She is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Elijah needs a family to complete his adoption before he turns 14 in June 2017. There are more photos and videos of Elijah available HERE. He could soar in a family. He is of typical intelligence and his cerebral palsy only affects his lower half. The surgery that would allow his feet to sit flat is very easy and would completely change his life. Seeing what he can do right now, the sky is the limit for this kid. He is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Andruis needs a family to mail in paperwork and fees before he turns 16 on December 31, 2016. He has a huge grant of $21,739 that would cover the majority of his adoption expenses! Although he has not demonstrated any issues with younger children and has in fact been observed interacting well with the smaller children at his orphanage, it is being required that potential families do not have small children. He is a great kid who is almost out of time to be adopted.

___

Kara needs a family to mail in paperwork and fees before she turns 16 in December 2016. There is limited information available, but she needs a family. She is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Soleil needs a family to mail in paperwork and fees before she turns 16 in January 2017. She is a very sweet and clever girl! She is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

___

Adam needs a family to send in immigration paperwork and fees before he turns 16 sometime in 2001. He is a calm and quiet boy. He is eligible for a $10,000 older child grant to assist with adoption expenses.

 ___

Dawn needs a family to send in immigration paperwork and fees before she turns 16 sometime in 2001. She reminds me a lot of other older girls with Down syndrome who have come home in the last couple years and just knocked everyone's socks off. Her profile says she doesn't have behavioral or medical issues! She needs a family. She has a $10,204 grant.

___

Thank you again for sharing all of these waiting kids and the newly found families! Sharing kids makes a difference!
